Winged Victory of Mercy by samca

This is another build that can be found on the Cooler Master forum. Those familiar with Overwatch will recognise the character Mercy. And those who are a little more cultured than I will know about the Winged Victory of Samothrace (I had to Google it). Winged Victory of Mercy smashes these two categories together to create something that looks like it will be very unique.


Again, samca uses CAD to ensure that everything will be correct.


While working on his computer, he was able to design a sculpture that could be made out of card. He printed out all of the designs and started to cut them out.


Once all the card has been cut out, he can put all the bits together to create this awesome statuesque figure.


The next job is to cover it in fibreglass to give it strength and definition.


Once this has been done, it looks far more like a statue.


samca then attaches the figure to a metal frame. The way the frame is angled shows us where the wings look like they will be fixed.


The hardware has started to go into this build, but that is pretty much where it ends at the moment. This is another one I hope gets finished in time. If this works out as well as imagined, it will be great.
